Remember when I donated blood at work last year? Remember what happened? Remember how embarrassed I was and how I swore up and down that I would never give blood again?
Blood drive day was today.
I drank lots of water. I ate a hearty lunch.
I was prepared.
I fainted again.
Gross, I hate it. I'm never doing that again.

Okay, I do this too. Don't give blood anymore. I tried 2x's and did this alternative method that is suppose to be easier (returns IV fluids so you're not as low, etc). Still passed out and they couldn't use the blood after all that. I don't feel guilty and I don't give blood, it's not pretty! :)
I pass out every time I give blood, too. If you decide to try it again sometime, I suggest telling them you're prone to fainting and immediately lay down with your feet in the air before they even try to stick you. This helps me quite a bit.
